Tabra Jean Cruz

Tabra Jean Cruz, 46, passed away Friday, October 24, 2014 at her home in Bancroft, ID. Born, Tabra Jean Ellsworth, on October 20, 1968, she was the second of four children born to Timothy Joe Ellsworth and Janice Rae Bieker. Affectionately known as "Tabbie", she lived briefly on Roosevelt and Everett streets in Pocatello. She then moved to Dell RD. in Chubbuck and attended Chubbuck Elementary. Later she attended Tendoy and Tyhee Elementary and eventually Hawthorne Jr. High. As a teenager, she moved with her family in 1983 to Billings, Montana, where she attended Billings Senior High School. She moved back to Pocatello with her family in 1986. In 1986, Tabra met the love of her life and lifelong partner, Tony F. Cruz. On July 17, 1987 they were married thus started the beginning of a 27 year marriage, through which they were madly in love, two people that became one. They moved to California where they lived for 16 years. They built a life together living by their definition of love, which is, when you love someone more than yourself. They lived by this, always putting each other first, in all things. By doing this they were blessed with true unconditional love. She was Tonys whole world, he loved her very much. People that knew them would say that their love was the kind you dreamed about, the kind of love your grandparents had, through sickness and in health. In about 2003, Tabbie decided she wanted to move home. Tony and Tabbie and Tonys whole family moved back to Idaho because Tabbie wanted to, where they lived happily until she passed. Tony was a devoted care giver for his bub. He stayed by her side from the beginning until the end. They overcame many great obstacles. She had total trust in him in some scary times. Always working as a team, fighting together, laughing, joking and teasing each other right to the end. Although Tabbie died young, they had a lifetime of great adventures. They spent as much time together as possible. They were best friends. They shared a love of music, movies and good food. They both loved an adventure. It was a good thing because they were made for each other. She followed him in some great adventures through their life together and could be found on their Harley Davidson. They had a love of motorcycles. They had dated on one. When they would ride, Tab said it was as if they were dating and young again. Lots of Love and great times. Tabra worked with her dad, Tim Ellsworth, at his business as an electrician helper when she was young. Tabra also worked in the food industry for a short time. Her lifelong career was a homemaker. It was a full time job taking care of her husband and animals, which she did very well. She also helped take care of her youngest brother, Jaron, and was a second mom to her nephew, Nathan Wright. She referred to Jaron as her life, and Nathan as her boy. She was instrumental in the life of her niece, Brandi Brown. Tabra was loved deeply by all. She had a way with kids and animals. It was not uncommon for there to be 10 neighbor kids on the porch eating ice cream. Tabra took in any stray animals she came across, all a labor of love. Tabra was one of Jehovahs witnesses. She was baptized in 1994 and was a regular pioneer and faithful sister until the end. Her faith gave her great strength and allowed her a peaceful passing, with the hope of awakening near her Tony and loved ones. Tabra had many interests; she was a diligent bible student, loved music and enjoyed reading. She was an accomplished artist, Creating portraits and landscapes and any arts and crafts imaginable. As a young lady, she enjoyed snow skiing, jet skiing, water skiing, fishing, and hiking. Later in life she enjoyed swimming, ice fishing and any new adventure her and Tony could find, including helicopter rides, skydiving and jumping off the Stratosphere in Las Vegas, and riding the Harley. Most of all, she was the most loving person in the world. Always putting everyone else first and was always happy to do it. She will be dearly missed. Tabra is survived by her loving husband, Tony F. Cruz; Father, Timothy Joe Ellsworth, Mother, Janice (Mike) Yarborough; Siblings, Jenette Ellsworth, Kyle Ellsworth and Jaron (Mindy) Ellsworth; father-in- law, Antonio Cruz; brother-in-law, Jeff and Melissa Leissring; sister- in-law, Mary Wright; and many extended family members. Family will receive friends on Friday, November 7, 2014 from 6-8 PM at Colonial Funeral Home 2005 S. 4 th Ave. Pocatello, ID. 208-233-1500. A memorial gathering will be Saturday, November 8, 2014 from 1-4 PM with an actual memorial service at 2 PM also at Colonial Funeral Home.
