Sylvia Jean Allen, 90, passed away on Sunday, January 10, 2021 at home. She was born on March 16, 1930 to Laura Farnsworth Wheeler and Edward Wheeler in Moreland, Idaho. Jean went to school in Moreland and Shelley, Idaho. Jean married Allen Bradley in 1946. They had one child, Vicki Lynn, and later divorced. Jean married Darrell Allen in 1951 and they had three children: Trent, Scott, and Brian. Darrell and Jean farmed until 1956 in Hawkins Basin. They then bought the El Rancho Club in Inkom, Idaho. After selling the EL Rancho, she became a partner in the A&B Cafe in McCammon, Idaho with Jessie Brown. She retired in 1984. Jeans hobbies included fishing, gardening, playing cards, reading, and doing puzzles. Jean and her family spent many vacations at Red Fish Lake. She especially loved to go fishing at Garden Creek. Jean loved her grandchildren and was always excited to spend time with them. Jean is survived by her sisters, Doris Gilbert and Rhea Swenson; brothers, John Wheeler and Harold Thompson; four children, Vicki (Mark) Anderson, Trent (Cheryl) Allen, Scott (Joy) Allen and Brian (Melanie) Allen; she had seven grandchildren and five-great-grandchildren. Jean was preceded in death by her parents, Laura Thompson and Edward Wheeler; husband, Darrell Allen; sisters, Veeva Whitworth and Della Mittelstedt; brother, Bud Wheeler; and grandson, Billy Caster. There will be no services at this time due to COVID-19. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding. We love you mom, and we will miss you!
