Sylvia Christine Peterson

Sylvia Christine Peterson, 96, of Pocatello passed away Friday, September 23, 2016 at a local care facility. Sylvia was born, the youngest of three children, on June 8, 1920 in Logan, Utah daughter of James and Agnes Thompson. Sylvia met and married Shirley Dell Peterson in the Idaho Falls Temple on May 15, 1942. Together they had three children; Karen, Linda, and Ron. They built the home Sylvia still lived in, up until her death. Shirley preceded her in death January 30, 1971. Sylvia was a member of the LDS church and served in many callings. Sylvia loved family, cooking, sewing, crocheting, and Coca-Cola. She is survived by a daughter, Karen Jeppson; daughter-in-law, Linda Peterson; six grandchildren, Jim, Mindy, Jeremy, Brandon, Kristen, and Andy; 23 great-grandchildren, and 9 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; two children; Linda, and Ron; two son's-in-law, Bob and Dick; one grandson Neils, and one great-grandson, Kord. A viewing will be held on Friday, September 30, 2016 from 10-11 am at the LDS Fredregill Church, located at 2271 S. 4th Ave. Pocatello, ID 83201, with funeral services to follow starting at 11 am. Burial will be in the Victor, Idaho Cemetery. Colonial Funeral Home, 2005 S. 4th Ave. Pocatello, ID, is caring for Sylvias family.
