Susan Carol Vegors

Susan Carol Vegors, 52, passed away September 20, 2009 at a local care facility after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born May 30, 1957 to Ann Hope Vegors and Stanley Henry Vegors. She was the second of three children.

She was born in the Idaho Falls hospital and lived in Pocatello until she was 23-years-old. She enjoyed sailing and skiing as a youngster in Pocatello. She read a great deal all her life.

She received a Ph.D. in psychology from MIU in Fairfield, Iowa. She worked as a computer programmer and software engineer for 13 years in Indianapolis. She was a very good and proficient sewer. She had various different cats in Indianapolis to whom she was greatly devoted and whom she took very good care of.

Susan is survived by her parents, Stanley Henry Vegors and Ann Hope Vegors of Pocatello; her brother Eric Starr Vegors of Seattle, WA; her sister Heidi Ann Vegors of Pocatello; her four nieces and nephews " Chris, Stanley, Victoria, and Paul Vegors " of Seattle, WA; and her three great nieces and nephews " Sarah, Christina, and Christianna Vegors.

Because of her religious beliefs, she was intensely devoted to her immediate family and friends. She believed it was her duty to help and obey her parents. She acted in the role of peacemaker within our family and helped us all a great deal. She was intensely spiritual and devoted her entire life to spiritual causes and seeking God.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday September 29, 2009 at the United Methodist Church on 200 North 15th Avenue, with Reverend Craig Strobel officiating. A viewing will be begin at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Wilks Funeral Home 211 W. Chubbuck Road, Chubbuck.

The family requests in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to either the Nature Conservancy or the Salvation Army.
