Stephan "Steve" Faber Rowlands, 80, of Pocatello, passed away Thursday, August 16, 2012 of natural causes. He was born June 10, 1932 in Manhattan, New York the son of Willis and Eleanor Rowlands. He was raised in New York, Washington D.C., and Arlington, VA., where he graduated from Washington Lee High School. Steve moved to Idaho in 1950 to work for the J.R. Simplot Company. Later he worked for Kenny Harten, and finally worked at FMC for 29 years. He retired about 17 years ago to enjoy his many hobbies. He married Patricia Gail Cohen on August 9, 1965. They enjoyed 47 years together and were blessed with two daughters, Staci and Teri. He enjoyed his children and especially his five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Steve was a man of all trades and could fix anything. He loved to tinker around his garage and work shop. His true passion was traditional archery and was an active member of the Pocatello Field Archers Association. He spent many hours fixing and taking care of the club house and the archery range on Scout Mountain. He also loved to collect bows and people would come from as far away as Alaska to see his collection. He was truly a craftsman. He survived by his wife and sweetheart of 47 years, Patricia Rowlands, Pocatello, ID.,daughters; Stacey ( Brad ) DeLange McDonald, Gilbert , AZ., Teri Neeser, Pocatello, ID., five grandchildren; Keri Nagle, Taylor Nagle, Colton Neeser, Derek DeLange, and Mandi DeLange, three great-grandchildren Paedyn Hysell, Kalan Hysell, and Kabree Talbot Steve was a very frugal man as all his friends and family knew. He would have been happy with just your presence and if you feel the need to give, helping Pat with funeral costs in lieu of flowers would be his wishes. A memorial service will be held at 1 PM Tuesday, August 21, 2012 at Colonial Funeral Home, 2005 S. 4th Ave. Pocatello. Friends may gather an hour prior to the memorial service.
