Stella R. Bunn, 97, passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones, Thursday, April 11, 2013 at the age of 97. She was born September 26, 1915 to Hardiman Everett and Willhelmina Jensen Rollins in Lyman, Wyoming. She was 5 th in her family of ten children. At the age of 5 she moved with her family to Green River, Wyoming. Growing up during the depression, she attended schools in Green River until the 9 th grade. She learned at an early age the value of hard work, sacrifice, frugality, and good sense, which served her well throughout her life. Stella married John Francis Kemp (Jack) in 1937, and they were blessed with four sons; John Jr., Doug, Ray, and Allen. She loved her boys and always supported them in their endeavors and antics. She especially loved cheering them on in their football games, letting the whole team know that "Everybody works!" Her family was later sealed for eternity in the Salt Lake Temple. Jack passed away in 1970. Stella married Max L. Bunn in November 1971 and relocated to Pocatello, Idaho, where they resided until December 2011. Both Stella and Max retired from Union Pacific Railroad. They enjoyed farming, horse packing into the Wind River Mountains numerous times, traveling the USA, dancing, and cherishing their home and friends in Pocatello. Stella was a lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, always loving her Heavenly Father, serving in various ward callings. Stella is survived by her loving husband and devoted companion Max Bunn, sons: John (Margaret) Kemp, Doug Kemp, Ray(Donna Rae) Kemp, Allen(Jean) Kemp, four stepchildren: Max H. (Roberta) Bunn, Terry (Bonnie) Bunn, Kent(Kathy) Bunn, and Nancy(Wes) Vastine, nine grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, many step-grandchildren and loving nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Jack, grandson Sterling, her parents, and nine siblings. Stella was a wonderful, fun-loving soul, and her sweet smile and laughter and hugs will be cherished and missed by so many. "Listen kid, we'll see you later!" Our family would like to thank the staff of Legacy House of Ogden and CNS Hospice for their loving and professional care for Stella and Max the past sixteen months. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. at the Cedar 1 st Ward LDS Chapel, 550 West Cedar Street, Pocatello, with a viewing to be at 10:00 A.M. prior to service.
