Stanley Lowell Burrup

Stanley L. Burrup, Sr. 90, passed away at his home on Thursday, December 24, 2020. He was born on September 3, 1930 in Downey, Idaho. He moved to Moreland, Idaho where he attended school. After completing school, he moved to Chubbuck and then Inkom. Several years later, he moved to Blackfoot then to Pocatello where he remained until his passing. On May 1, 1949, Stanley married his sweetheart and the love of his life, Elnora Josephine Moffat in Blackfoot, Idaho. Stanley worked at a potato warehouse, for Yellow Taxicab, and as a milk man while living in Blackfoot. He later had the opportunity to work at the Gay Mine where he later retired as a Foreman. After retirement he worked part time as a truck driver for Handy Truck Lines and Loveland Farms. Stanley was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He loved being outdoors. Whether it was hunting, fishing, camping, razor riding or just getting out of town. Stanley enjoyed riding horses and most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family and puppies. Stanley is survived by his daughter, Brenda (David) Brown of Pocatello, ID, daughter-in-law, Cindy Burrup of Challis, ID, daughter, Juanita Bowman of American Falls, ID, son, Stanley (Linda) Burrup of Pocatello, ID, son, Lyle (Kellie) Burrup of Pocatello, ID, daughter, Jolene (Wade) Caldwell of Pocatello, ID; and brother, Larry Burrup of Blackfoot, ID; 27 grandchildren; 70 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of 70 years, Elnora Josephine Burrup; son, Terry Burrup; brother, Marlow Burrup; sister, Nada Burrup; father, John Burrup; and mother, Elva Burrup. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, January 2, 2021 at 10 am at the Inkom Cemetery.
