Stanley Havre Guardipee Jr., 62, passed away on Monday, October 21, 2013, in Pocatello, Idaho. Stanley was born on May 20, 1951, in Pocatello, Idaho. He was one of nine children of Stanley Guardipee Sr. and Nancy Diggie Guardipee. Stanley was never married. In his younger days he had many interests. He was employed as a security guard. He was also very musically inclined and played many instruments including piano, bagpipes, bassoon, trumpet, trombone, clarinet, and violin. He was a Traditional Native American Dancer and was baptized a member of the Episcopal Church. Stanley loved to cook with things from his garden. He also raised chickens and sold them to local stores. Stanley is survived by his close friend, Merle Ellis; four sisters, Tina Kniffin, Lillian (Clinton) Timbana, Ruth (Mitch) Guardipee, all of Fort Hall, Idaho, and Martina Guardipee, Browning Montana; three brothers, David Guardipee, Las Vegas, Nevada, Norman Guardipee, Browning, Montana, Mark Guardipee, Montana; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins, all of Montana and Idaho. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Michael Burns. Family will receive friends at from 7-8 pm Thursday, October 24, 2013 at Colonial Funeral Home, 2005 S. 4th Ave. Pocatello. Stan will be buried alongside his mother at the Good Shepherd Episcopal Mission in Fort Hall at 10 AM Friday, October 25, 2013.
