Shirley Spraker

Shirley Ann Spraker, 73, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 13, 2019 in Pocatello, Idaho.

Shirley was born in Pocatello, Idaho on February 10, 1946 to Frank George Hynek and Myrtle Bell Rogers. She graduated from Pocatello High School and shortly after met and married Richard Spraker. Together they resided on their farm in the Tyhee area, until their divorce in 1981.

Shirley worked as a student aid at Tyhee Elementary and she worked for many doctors as a medical records associate until her retirement.

Shirley enjoyed arts and crafts of all types; particularly holiday crafts. She enjoyed camping with friends, and spending time with her grandchildren and great-children at all of their activities.

Shirley is survived by; sons, Glen (Joan) Spraker of Pocatello, Ken Spraker of Boise; sister, Sharon Wulfekuhle of Idaho Falls; brother, Robert Hynek of Pocatello; grandchildren, Rachel, Katie, Luke, Natalie, Paige, Halle and Sophie; as well as great-grandchildren, Mia, Shelby, Taylor and Cordon.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Encompass Health Care nurses who took care of mom for the past several years.

The family will receive friends at a gathering from 9:30 until 10:30 a.m. at Wilks Funeral Home 211 W. Chubbuck Road. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 18th at Restlawn Memorial Gardens in Pocatello.
