Shirley Moser Brower, 71, passed away on Sunday, August 23, 2015. Shirley was born on December 20, 1943 in Portland, Oregon to Glenn and Blanch Moser. She was raised in Star Valley, Wyoming and settled in Pocatello, Idaho in 1975 where she and her husband raised their 5 children. Shirley married her soul mate, Fred Mason Brower, in 1964 and lived happily until Fred passed away in 1995. Family and friends were Shirleys passion. She was constantly striving to strengthen the family bond with children and grandchildren. Shirley was active in her community hosting coffee time almost every day and was an energetic supporter of the American Cancer Society, the Relay for Life, and the March of Dimes. In addition to her tireless commitment to homemaking, she worked at Shopko and Simplot Potato Co., even after retirement she continued to work as the secretary for the Big Sky Water Association and as an Avon sales representative. Shirley was energetic and adventurous. She loved camping, snowmobiling, traveling with family, humiliating people at Scrabble, and made the 300 club in bowling. Shirley was well-known for making the worlds best cinnamon rolls and kept very busy with quilting, sewing, and embroidery projects. She was an avid collector of anything Coca-Cola and Disney movies. She is lovingly remember by her children, Sandra (Bruce) Givens of Chubbuck, ID, Mike Brower of Chubbuck, ID, Rebecca Steel of South Jordan, UT, Terry (Kristina) Brower of Pocatello, ID, Melissa Bristol of Blackfoot, ID; brothers, John Moser of Pocatello, ID, Kelly Moser of Casper, WY; 7 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Mason Brower; parents, Glenn and Blanch Moser; and brothers, Richard Moser and Jim Moser. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 27, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. at Colonial Funeral Home, 2005 S. 4 th Ave. Pocatello, Idaho 83201, 208-233-1500. Family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 P.M. before services at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Mountain View Cemetery, 1520 S. 5 th Ave. Pocatello, Idaho 83204.
