Shelly Rae Skinner

August 1, 1961 — November 25, 2021

It is with great sadness that the family of Shelly Rae Hoskins Skinner announces her passing on November 25th, 2021 in Pocatello Idaho.

Shelly was born in San Jose California on August 1st, 1961 to Kathryn and Lyle Hoskins.

Shelly married Douglas George Skinner in California in 1980. They then had three children Sage, Douglas, and Katherine "Kiki" Skinner. Shelly had four grandchildren Nathan, Alexis, Blake (deceased) and Hunter. She loved her grandbabies very dearly.

Shelly is preceded in death by her mother, father, and grandson. She is survived by her husband, children, grandchildren, and siblings Patricia Cobb, Charles Maynard, Kelly Hoskins and Donna Marlatt.

Shelly enjoyed many things in her life including the powwow trail, horses, the outdoors, and just having a good time. She had numerous jobs throughout her life but her favorite job was serving at Stan's restaurant in Blackfoot, Idaho, where she met many lifelong friends. She loved being around her grandchildren and always had a great impact in people's lives. Shelly was always willing to help anybody, and always took care of her "adopted kids". She was "Moms" to everyone. Shelly will be greatly missed by many.

Services will be held at Wilks Funeral Home at 211 West Chubbuck Road on Tuesday November 30th, 2021 at 2 p.m. followed by a "celebration of life" dinner at her brother Kelly Hoskins residence.

Memories and condolences may be shared with the family under the "Share a memory" section above.
