Shawn is survived by his wife & soulmate, April, Pocatello, Idaho, children, Jack of Eden, Utah, Roman, Eden, Utah, Logan Hall, Pocatello, Idaho, Corbin Hall, Pocatello, Idaho, Arielle Hall, Portland, Oregon, Halle Hatcher, Pocatello, Idaho, Mother, Debbie Reynolds (Secrist) St. George, Sister, Shelby Smith, St. George, Grandchildren, Keaghan & Avi-Lee, Pocatello, Idaho and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, David Henry Tucker, Katy, Texas, Grandmother Karma Meisinger (Tucker) Rigby, Idaho, Grandfather, Jack Meisinger, Rigby, Idaho.

Shawn attended Wilcox Elementary, Hawthorne Middle school, Pocatello High School & Rigby High school.

Shawn was always a happy, loving, hard-working child who excelled in sports. At 8-years-old Shawn had his own paper route, at 10-years-old he achieved a black belt in Taekwondo and at the age of 12 Shawn received his Eagle Scout Award. In 1995 Shawn graduated from high school in Rigby, Idaho.

Shawn continued his education at Utah State University and received a BS in business administration and graduated in 2001.

He was a member of Sigma Nu.

Shawn lived for the outdoors, in the summer if he saw water he would pull over and jump in, his wife, April would always keep towels handy for his spontaneity. He absolutely loved spending time with his wife, children and best friends “The Percy Family”, at Devils Creek Reservoir in Malad, Idaho.

Shawn also enjoyed golfing, hiking, paddle boarding , long motorcycle trips with two of his best friends Jon Percy & Scott Bly in his younger years.

His greatest joy was spending as much quality time with his boys Jack & Roman, as they were his whole world.

He met the love of his life, April in 2014, after a year of friendship they became a couple on July 4th, 2015. Then married on Maui, Hawaii on September 15th, 2018.

Shawn and April had something very rare, a love that goes beyond a marriage, they were soulmates. Shawn would often remind his wife of his profound love and how he knows that everything in their lives happened to bring them together. Shawn was quite a jokester. He would prank his wife any chance he could. Even if it was in the middle of the night!

He absolutely adored her children, loving them as his own. He would often say “They have no idea of how much I love them and how much I wish that I could have been their real Dad.” They had a blended family that connected as if they were all blood siblings. Shawn was so proud of that. He loved his grandson Keaghan and granddaughter Avi-Lee and would brag about being their Papa T!!

Shawn was a brilliant man, after college he worked for Old Castle Materials Inc from June 2002-July 2005 as a Data Warehouse Specialist, then he went on to Staker & Parson Companies from July 2005-February 2011 as a Corporate Information Director and a Director of Procurement. Then he went on to Summit Materials from January 2011-July 2012 as a Vice President, Performance Improvement. Then he made his dream a reality by opening his own consulting agency, named Allazei, from July 2012-present where he was the founder and CEO.

Shawn’s sister Shelby described him best:

My brother.

My best buddy.

This human being wasn’t just another man walking this planet.

He was a man of honor.

He was a man who listened.

He was a man who knew how you were feeling immediately upon answering his phone call.

He was a man who sought to understand the meaning of life, his purpose and his passion.

He was a man with integrity and was highly trusted and adored.

Shawn was driven, highly intelligent and extremely creative. Once he set his intention, the universe would collaborate to make it happen.

He had a huge heart and loved big. There are countless stories of Shawn offering his time and talents to lift those around him.

He adored the outdoors, and there was rarely a moment captured in Mother Nature where he didn’t have a smile on his face.

He was an incredible father, and his love, his childlike nature, fun and witty comments and curious mind made him a hero in the eyes of his two boys.

He was his own boss, bringing success to himself and those he worked with.

He cherished moments with loved ones and created countless memories.

A moment in his presence was one filled with laughter, connection and a desire for more!

Shawn enjoyed sharing his favorite things with his favorite people. With a glimmer in his eye, he would offer tastes, samples, tries, experiences and more with the giddiness of a little boy.

He left a mark on the hearts of all whom he encountered. He will always be remembered, always missed and deeply loved. We are all changed by having loved Shawn.

Our whole world was complete because of an amazing husband, father and best friend. Now our whole world is forever changed having to learn to live without him.

Shawn will live on through his wife, April and his six children and two grandchildren.

A celebration of life was held on 02/23/2020 at Pv’s Uncorked on Main St Pocatello, Idaho

A memorial service will be held in the spring for scattering of ashes in Malad, Idaho at Devils Creek Reservoir. Date to be determined and will be updated at a later time. Thank you to all who have shown their support in such a devastating time.

A Go-Fund Me account has been set up to help as he had no life insurance. If you can it’s appreciated. But not expected. The greatest gift would be to pray for us.

Life will never be what is was.

Memories and condolences may be shared with the family under the Tribute Wall tab above.
