Sharilyn Blattner

Sharilyn Edna Blattner passed away on June 21, 2018 from kidney cancer in Pocatello, Idaho.

Sharilyn was born on January 17, 1941 in Gooding, Idaho to A. Haskell Reeder and Edna Nancy Johnson Reeder. She attended schools in Gooding, Richland, Washington and graduated in Arco, Idaho. Arco is where Sharilyn met the love of her life Gary Blattner and started her business career. Sharilyn married Gary on June 15, 1960 in Arco, Idaho and they brought three children into the world.

She worked in Arco for the phone company, the gas company, and ended her 30 year Office Manager career with Old Faithful Beverage in Pocatello, Idaho.

She enjoyed going and supporting Gary along with many of her family and friends to posse meets, roping jackpots and horse racing; both flat track and chariot racing. Sharilyn loved going hunting, fishing, camping, and playing cards with her kids, grandkids, and great grandkids. She was a really good cook and took great pleasure in feeding her family and friends throughout all her life.

Sharilyn is survived by: her three children, Terri (Ross) Pence, Weston (Sara Davis) Blattner, and Garth (LuKrena Schoonover) Blattner; grandchildren, Luke (Jen) Pence, Janel (Steven) Sanford, Samantha (Jake) Newbold, Myranda Blattner, Whitney Blattner, Micquel Blattner, Kylie Schoonover, Devon Schoonover, and Emma Davis; great grandchildren, Hagen, Jailee, Tason and Rugar Pence, Oakly and Adalyn Sanford, Ryker and Colten Newbod, and McKinlee Battler; siblings, Marilyn (Dave) Gardner, Beryl Waters, Claudine (Bill) Dyer, Shirly Giles, and Garth (Traci) Blattner; several nieces, nephews and many good friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gary H. Blattner and parents A. Haskell and Edna Reeder.

The family will receive friends at a gathering from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 28, 2018 at Wilks Funeral Home 211 W. Chubbuck Road.
