Shane S Shipley passed away in his home on Friday, March 6, 2020 at the age of 58.
Shane was born to James P. and Georgia Holland Shipley in Pocatello, Idaho on March 5, 1962 the youngest of eight children - Steven (Coleen) Shipley, Ronald (Deborah) Shipley, James Jr. (Sharolyn) Shipley, Linda (Irv) Patterson, Stan S (Anita) Shipley, Sharon (Maurice) Brooks, Carolyn (Michael) McCarty.
Shane married twice - Angie Gibson Brown; Susan Foutz Perkes
He was not married at the time of his death.
Shane was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Michael Shane.
He is survived by his son Todd (Maria) Shipley and three beautiful grandchildren - Ichabod, Izabella and Abraxas.
Shane had many passions that mostly centered around his love of movies.
In high school he was active in drama and choir. He was very much at ease on stage in front of a crowd. He continued taking part in plays after school at the ISU theatre.
His extensive knowledge of movies included actors, producers, directors and most of all makeup.
At a young age he started enlisting his nieces and nephews as subjects on which to practice theatre makeup and they loved it. His specialty was monsters and he loved them all!
He was a talented artist leaning toward the cartoon venues.
Shane played the guitar, piano and was an excellent vocalist.
He had electronics training at ISU, worked as an electronics technician at AMI and eventually worked at Welch Allen Medical Equipment in Oregon for many years. He returned to Pocatello in late 2009.
Shane resided with his parents and assisted in their care until they passed.
He was an avid reader and researcher, spending many hours on his laptop.
Since his parents passing Shane had struggled with health issues but had been turning things around this past year.
His mainstay for company were his kitties - "Lady Gray"and her offspring "Little Bit". They provided him years of happiness and love. His kitty "Gypsy Lee" preceded him in death.
Shane was uncle to many nieces and nephews: James (Colorado), Scott (Pocatello), Shaun ( Pocatello) Sam (Pocatello), Susie (California), Derek (Washington), Brandi (Texas), Jeremy (Minnesota)Tera (Pocatello), Jesse (Pocatello), Tia (Utah), Luke (Pocatello) Stefany and Lindsey (Missouri) and their many offspring.
He was preceded in death by a nephew Wesley Robert Patterson (Pocatello).
Cremation took place on March 7th there are no services pending.
