Shane Kelly Henderson left this earth April 1, 2025 at the age of 49 surrounded by his family.

He was born September 11, 1975 at the Cherry Point Naval Station, North Carolina. His family moved to Utah when he was 9 months old. He grew up in West Valley City, Utah. He graduated from Hunter High School in 1993. He served in the California, San Fernando mission from 1994-1996. In 1999, he attended college at Utah Valley University where he met the lovely Dawna Gelb and later married. They were blessed with two children, Sam & Katie. After a divorce, he later met & married his sweetheart Becca Keller-Hedges. They resided in Pocatello, Idaho. He loved her so.

Shane had a love for horses and was able to adopt & help train a mustang who he named Scout. He had many wonderful memories and rides with the rest of the family in the mountains.

He worked as a trainer for Skywest Airlines in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, then later transferred to Idaho Falls Airport where he became the manager for Skywest, making many lifelong friends who he worked with. He later began selling medicare insurance with Golden Insurance which he loved and became very close to all his “elderly” clients. He mourned whenever any of his clients would pass on. He loved and respected all of his fellow associates that he worked with. He would say, “They’re more than my work associates, they’re my friends.” He particularly loved and looked up to his “boss” Glen Ogden.

He loved his family above all else. He loved spending time in the mountains, hiking in the Star Valley, Wyoming mountains, and spent time in the Tetons and Utah mountains. After the love of his family, his second love was music. He was self taught on the guitar and that brought him so much joy which he loved to share. Enjoy his music on his YouTube channel: “SKH975”

He is survived by his wife, Rebecca (Becca), his children, Sam and Katie, his step children, Jack, Remi, Keller, and Calvin, his parents, Kelly and Elaine Henderson, siblings Tia Chapman (Kevin), & Brianne Chapman (Kyle), of West Valley City Utah, Kody Henderson (Brianna), of Moab, Utah, Season Brower (Tyrel), of Burley, Idaho and many nieces and nephews who he adored, and they adored him. He also had so many cousins, aunts, & uncles that he loved so much. He really loved everyone, both family and friends, many of which were lifelong friends. It seemed like anyone he would meet soon became his new lifelong friend.

He was easy to talk to and many people said that when they would talk to Shane, he would make eye contact and truly listen. He cared so much about people. He had a way of making people around him laugh. He was kind, peaceful, and tolerant and very perceptive, naturally gifted. A gentle soul, modestly shy. He was warm hearted, unpretentious, with a brilliant mind. Shane’s siblings all agree that we love how Shane felt things SO deeply. Funny things and everything else too. The words of a poet describe Shane well: “...The mind that is not baffled is not employed. The impeded stream is the one that sings” from Wendell Berry. He will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him.
