Scott Cunningham

July 23, 1963 — March 8, 2020

Scott Clay Cunningham, 56, passed away on Sunday, March 8, 2020. He was born on July 23, 1963 in Pocatello, Idaho to Eldon and Darla Cunningham. Scott grew up in Pocatello and attended Emerson Elementary School, Irving Junior High School and graduated from Pocatello High School in 1983. He had two special childhood friends, Mark Christensen and Kevin Hickman; they were inseparable. Scott worked various jobs over the years such as: BAF, Walmart, and was a cook at The Sandpiper Restaurant. He was a member of the LDS church and as a youth, participated in the sports programs, basketball and softball. Scott loved the Denver Broncos, the Celtics, and #24 Nascar. He played T-Ball, basketball, football and softball. He also loved his dog, Mecka. Scott is survived by his daughter, Cassia Ostler; and son, Joel Cunningham, both of Pocatello, ID; his mother, Darla Cunningham; sister, Debra Mansfield; brothers, Jesse Cunningham and Lonnie Cunningham; and sister, Lana Taylor; and 5 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Eldon Cunningham; brother, Brent Cunningham; sister-in-law, Julie Cunningham; and brother-in-law, Kyle Taylor. There will be a viewing held on Thursday, March 12, 2020 from 6-7 pm at Colonial Funeral Home, 2005 S. 4th Ave. Pocatello, ID. Inurnment will take place the following day, Friday, March 13, 2020, at 11 am at Restlawn Memorial Gardens, 2864 S. 5th Ave. Pocatello, ID.
