Samantha Jean Kidder

Sammie J. Kidder, age 76, Pocatello, Idaho, passed away peacefully, Monday, March 18, 2013 at a care facility. Sammie was born in Gooding, Idaho November 17, 1936 to James and Imagene Raynor. She attended school in Atlanta, Idaho and later on graduated high school from Meridian, Idaho. She attended and graduated St. Alphonsis Nursing School in 1957, where she earned a 3 year degree in nursing. She lived in the Boise Valley her entire life and practiced as a nurse there for more than 40 years. She was married to Benton Kidder. She recently moved to Pocatello, Idaho.

Sammie enjoyed gardening and was a test grower for Jackson and Perkins roses. She also enjoyed knitting and sewing. She was a member of AARP and Ham Radio. Sammie was devoted to nursing, which was one of her greatest accomplishments and took great pride in.

Sammie is survived by her daughter, Tracy J. Allen, (Santa Fe, NM), a brother, Jack Raynor, (Weiser, ID), a sister, Pat Yensen, (Chubbuck, ID) and four nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents: James and Imagene Raynor and her husband, Benton Kidder.

A private memorial will be held at a later date.
