Sally Leah Reynolds

Our sweet, beloved Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, and Great-Great-Grandmother returned home to her Heavenly Father on January 20, 2021. Sally Leah Reynolds was born on January 11, 1935 in Twin Falls, Idaho to Percy Norman Beckstead and Grace Hannah Pace. She married Ralph Leonard Reynolds on October 7, 1950. On June 18, 1963 they took their five children to the Idaho Falls Temple where they were sealed for all eternity. Her talents were obvious at a young age. She enjoyed dancing and preforming for Mary Kasai a renowned Dance Instructor in Pocatello. She has always had a deep love for animals and in her early teens, she borrowed a horse to compete in the Miss Rodeo Queen Pageant, where she was selected to be Queen. She had an ear for music. When she sat at the piano we gathered around, to hear her play the chords and sing her favorite songs. Her laugh was absolutely contagious. Sally lived a life of selfless service. Not only to her family and extended family, but to the numerous children in her day care that referred to her as Mamma Sally and later as Grandma Sally. She didnt stop there; many foster children filled her home and her heart. She was a devout member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served in many callings throughout her life, Primary, Sunday School, Young Womens and Relief Society. Feeding the Missionaries and taking meals to others in need was part of her routine. If you needed a shoulder to cry on or just a listening ear, she was always available. Sally was your biggest advocate and a ferocious protector of all those she loved, if she knew you she loved you. She had a way of making each of her grandchildren feel special. While hugging them tightly she would whisper in their ear "you are my favorite". It was easy to believe because her actions spoke louder than her words. She loved watching their dance and piano recitals, wrestling matches and all the ball games. If you left her home hungry it was your own fault because a meal and goodies were always offered. Sally was in her element when surrounded by her family. I dont know who had the hardest time during the Covid quarantine, her or her family. Staying apart just did not work. Its amazing she never contracted Covid. Continuing to serve others tell the end. Sally is survived by her husband, Ralph; sisters, Sondra Lloyd, Vancouver, WA and Patricia Bailey, St George, UT; her children, Janie (Bruce) Wiggins, Pocatello, ID, Marvin (Julie) Reynolds, Morgan, UT, Susan (Stoney) Burt, Pocatello, ID, and Shulene (Tom) Starkey, Evanston, WY; 30 grandchildren, 76 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents, and her son, James Reynolds. Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Colonial Funeral Home. Due to COVID restrictions the Viewing and in-person attendance at the funeral service will be limited to immediate family members. Burial, following the funeral service will be at the Mountain View Cemetery and limited, as well, to immediate family members.
