Rusty Don Keller, 46, passed away Saturday, August 2, 2014 at home with his loving wife by his side. RD was born August 2, 1968 in Blackfoot, Idaho to Irvin Neal (Rusty) Keller and VaConna (Connie) Swensen Keller. In 1971 the family settled in Rigby, Idaho where RD attended elementary school. As a young boy he participated in cub scouts and 4-H. He had horse and lamb projects, and was also active in High School Rodeo in cow cutting and many horse shows throughout the country. RD graduated from Snake River High School in 1986. After graduation, he spent the summer in Wisconsin, where he developed a friendship with the Amish people, learning the fine art of woodworking. In 1989, he met the "Love of his Life," Deborah Miller. They sealed their love in marriage on October 31, 2005 and have spent 25 years together. RD worked at R-Homes, helping with the construction of Colonial Funeral Home. He later worked for Randall Johnson Homes, giving him an opportunity to display his talent for custom wood work. With a strong desire to own his own business, he started "RDs Custom Trim and Carpentry." During this time he was able to broaden his horizons and gained many new friends and customers. RD was a hard worker and took great pleasure in creating something unique and special for every job. On June 27, 2014 he was diagnosed with cancer. During this difficult time, he was a True Warrior fighting to live. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. RD is survived by his wife and best friend, Deborah; Mother and Step-Father, Connie and Rick Jones; Sisters, KayLyn (Mike) Lovell; Debbie Lou (Dave) Burgess. He is preceded in death by his Father, Rusty Keller. A celebration of RDs life will be held Wednesday, August 20, 2014 at 11AM at Colonial Funeral Home, 2005 S 4 th Ave. Pocatello, Idaho. 208-233-1500. Family will receive friends from 10:30 AM to 11 AM Prior to the service at the funeral home.
