Russell Leroy Wilson

Russell Leroy Wilson passed away peacefully in his home on Friday January 29, 2021 in Pocatello. Russell was born on October 6, 1939, to John and Margaret Wilson. He was raised and attended high school in Wilder, Idaho. He joined the Marines in 1949 as a E-4 corporal and was honorably discharged in 1965. He married the love of his life, Judy on July 1, 1971, and they were blessed with two children, John Edward and Tracy Lynn. He was a loving father, grandfather, and friend. He was an extremely hard worker for FMC for 35 years. Russell enjoyed fishing, camping, and woodworking. Russell and Judy spent many happy years in the bowling alley and the casinos. When he was not hanging out with friends in the bowling alley, you could find him and Judy playing cards with family and friends. Russell is survived by his two children, John (Michelle) and Tracy (Jeff), and his grandsons whom he loved more than anything, Tyler Simpson, Teague Wood, and Lucas Leroy Wilson, all of Pocatello. He was preceded in death by his wife Judy, his parents John and Margaret Wilson, and his siblings Rosa, Edward, Melvin, Don, Helen, and Laura. Funeral services will be Friday, February 5, 2021, at 2:00 PM, at Colonial Funeral Home, 2005 S. Fourth Ave, Pocatello. The family will receive friends on Friday, February 5, 2021 one hour prior to services. Please wear a mask and follow social distancing.
