Russell Dale Mee

Russell Dale Mee, 62, passed away April 17, 2018 at the VA Medical Center in Salt Lake City, Utah after a lengthy battle with cancer. Russell was born December 11, 1955 in Great Falls, Montana to mother, Ethel Lee Girrard and father, Kenneth F. Mee. He was the third child of four children. In 1960 Russell moved with his mother and siblings to Pocatello, Idaho where he remained. He served in the US Navy for a short time. After returning home, he eventually became a long haul truck driver and did a great deal of traveling until his health declined. Russell's passion was riding his motorcycle. He also enjoyed fishing, shooting pool and camping. He was a gifted wood carver and took great pride in his creations. He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Mee of Great Falls, Montana; brother, Bill Mee of Lincoln, Montana; sister, SueAnn Siaperas of Tonto Basin, Arizona; and his step-father, Edward Girrard of Pocatello, Idaho. Russ is survived by his mother, Ethel Girrard of Pocatello, Idaho; and his sister, Sherry Stover of Hanford, California. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Colonial Funeral Home, 2005 S. 4 th Ave. Pocatello, Idaho. Navy Military Honors will follow the service. Burial will take place in the Marsh Center Cemetery, Arimo, ID. He will be missed by his family and many friends.
