Ruby Ethel Rose, 92, peacefully passed away at home on March 18, 2025 surrounded by her family.
Ruby was born on December 1, 1932, to Clifford Bittick and Eva Darden Bittick in Roswell, Idaho. She spent her growing up years in Roswell and graduated High School in Parma, Idaho.
Ruby was raised Baptist and later joined the Lutheran Church.
Ruby married the love of her life Lavon Rock “Buster” Rose on December 31, 1971, and they were married for 50 years before he passed away in 2020. Losing Buster was so hard for Ruby. They did everything together: camping, motor bike riding, and being snowbirds in Arizona. Spending time with their grandkids brought so much joy. Ruby was so proud of the fact she was alive long enough to witness her posterity and the birth of her great-great-granddaughter.
Ruby is preceded in death by her sweetheart, Buster; parents Clifford and Eva Bittick; son James A. Gerke; grandson Kody Gene Crystal; and brothers Ken Bittick and Cliff Bittick Jr.
Ruby is survived by her daughter Karleen Linford of Inkom, ID; granddaughters Katina Johnson of Pocatello, ID, Karleen Doty of Redmond, OR, and Kandy Rose of Beaverton, OR; great-grandchildren Tylan Hayball, Riley Johnson, Jaime Chance, and Thomas Chance; and great-great-granddaughter Abby Hayball.
A graveside service will be held for Ruby on Monday, March 24, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Mountain View Cemetery (1520 S. 5th Ave, Pocatello, ID).
