Ruby Dell Janson

Ruby Dell Janson age 82 of Pocatello, Idaho passed away on September 18, 2018. After years of poor health, and being homebound, she was taken in death due to advanced cancer. She passed away in her home attended to by family members.

Ruby was born on March 8, 1936 the only daughter of Wiley Joseph Smith, of Pocatello, and Loreta Ellen Palmer of Pauline, Idaho. She had 3 brothers; Everett Wiley Smith, Ronny Steven Smith, (JoAnn) both who have proceeded her in death; and Darwin Charles Smith who presently resides in Pocatello.

Ruby was known and loved for her quick wit and fun sense of humor. She was fun loving and loved to laugh. When her health was good she loved to grow flower baskets, cook, knit and crochet. She also loved playing the organ and the piano.

She did many things in life for work but the one she loved the most and was the best at was being a bookkeeper.

Ruby married Enoch Hansen of Salt Lake City, Utah; they had 5 children together: Michael Enoch Hansen(Sue) of Port Orchard, WA, L. Kristine Hansen Lish (Stephen) of Emmett, ID, Douglas Wiley Hansen, of Vancouver, WA, Jeffery Jay Hansen (Cindy K), and Elissa Hansen-Daniels of Emmett, ID.

She also had a very special niece that was very much like a daughter to her. Juanita (Jessie) Smith Bryant (Jim) of Butte, Mt, and many other beloved nieces and nephews.

Ruby had 9 Grandchildren: Jeremy Hansen, Niels Hansen, Matthew Hansen, Taylor Hansen, Nichole Hansen Hollingsworth, Nickolas Hansen Hollingsworth, Nichelle Daniels, Erin Daniels, and Megan Daniels. She also has 6 great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by two brothers, her son Jeffery Hansen, grandson Neils Hansen, granddaughters Nichelle Daniels and Erin Daniels.

She was married to Jack R. (Dave) Janson for 46 years and resided with him at their residents in Pocatello at her time of her death. She also had a step son, Dean Janson of Meridian, ID.
No public services will be held.
