Ross Thomas Bruce, 88, lacking one day from reaching his 89th birthday passed away with his wife Colleen and daughter Linda by his side on March 3, 2021.
Ross was born in Paris, Idaho to his parents Roy T. Bruce and Lela Susanna Bruce. He was the youngest of three boys. Eldon and Cornell preceded him in death.
Ross attended Pocatello schools and graduated from Pocatello High School. He worked for the UPRR for two years before he was drafted into the Army in 1953. His tour of duty included Fort Ord, California and Fort Elmondorf AFB in Alaska. He was rehired on the UPRR and continued to work until he retired in 1994. He remained in the Army Reserve.
Ross and Colleen Tripp Clark met at the Five Mile Inn in Chubbuck. They both enjoyed country music and dancing. They were married on February 16, 1990 and enjoyed 31 years together. They enjoyed bowling, fishing, camping and traveling with family and friends. They both received honors in bowling.
Ross is survived by his spouse Colleen, 3 daughters, Catherine (Roy) Jones, Linda Hobson, Crystal Haahr; 2 adopted children Suzy (David) Pearson and Robert Bruce, step children David, Monte and Heath Clark and Teresia (Russ) Avery. Together they have 24 grandchildren and 46 + great grandchildren
As per Ross's request there will be a graveside service held in his honor at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 6, 2021 in the Arimo City Cemetery, 305 S Front Road, Arimo, Idaho 83214. The family will meet for a luncheon at the Arimo LDS Stake Center after the service.
