Rosemary Catherine Vrooman, 90, passed away on Monday, September 25, 2017 at a care center in Pocatello. Rosemary was born September 4, 1927 in Kansas City, Missouri daughter of William Barry Jacobes and Mary Louella Kugler Jacobes. She was raised and educated in Kansas City, Kansas and graduated from Westport High School where she was very involved with the Westport a cappella choir. She married Walter Kotowski on September 12, 1949. They had 13 children, Steven, Victor, Catherine, Ellen, Theresa, Walter III, Joyce, Thomas, Andrew, Michael, Joseph, Tracy, and Cristian. They were later divorced. She met and married Earl Vrooman on August 18, 1979 and they were married for many years. Rosemary was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many callings. She worked with many people and had a love for music. Many of her church callings were music or related to music. She was a professional singer and performed with the Kansas City Philharmonic. Her homemade sweet rolls and breads were legendary. She also enjoyed many domestic talents such as crocheting and canning but most of all she loved visits from her children and grandchildren and reveled in their successes. She was thrilled to get news of graduations, mission calls and family members entering into the armed forces. She is preceded in death by her husband, Earl Vrooman; her parents; sons, Stephen and Andrew Kotowski; grandchildren, Heather Bartlett, Megan Kotowski, Ember Kotowski, and Nadia Olsen Kotowski. She is survived by her children, Victor (Gloria) Kotowski, Catherine Bartlett, Ellen (Tom) Crabtree, Theresa Kotowski, Walter Kotowski III, Joyce (George) Sargetis, Thomas Kotowski, Michael Kotowski, Joseph (Valerie) Kotowski, Tracy Kotowski, and Cristian Kotowski; numerous beautiful grandchildren and great-grandchildren that were the pride of Rosemary's life.
