Ronnie Dee Tillotson, 77, lifelong resident of Lava Hot Springs, Idaho, passed away from a sudden illness Sunday December 10th, at his home surrounded by his loving wife and children.
Ronnie was born on December 10th, 1940 in Lava Hot Springs, Idaho to Delsa Rowsell Tillotson and Robert Tillotson, one of 10 children. He attended elementary school in Lava Hot Springs and graduated from Marsh Valley High in 1959. He continued his education at Rick College and Weber State.
Ron met the love of his life, Sherril Lynn Irick, and they were married February 1st, 1964 in Lava Hot Springs, Idaho. She never left his side in over 53 years. They were blessed with 3 children who were raised on the family farm that they bought in 1967 located in the Dempsey Creek Valley. The family lovingly refers to the farm as "The Ranch". Along with farming and ranching, he and his wife had a successful contracting business and campground.
Ronnie loved fishing, hunting, gambling, traveling, watching the NFL and college football games, and coffee with his family and friends. One of his greatest joys was spending time with his many grandchildren and looked forward to their visits.
Ronnie is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Sherril; his 3 children, Jenny (Craig) Deveraux, Kit (Connie) Tillotson and Kody (Andrea) Tillotson and an extended family of 22 grandchildren and 18 Great Grandchildren. Sisters Della (Rulon) Fellows, Ruby (Dave) Dildine and twin sister Bonnie (Keith) Neeser. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and three sisters.
A friends and family Memorial Gathering will be held Friday December 15th 6-7:30 PM at the Graystone Manor 187 South 2nd Ave Lava Hot Springs.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 16th at Wilks Funeral Home, 211 West Chubbuck Road. Interment will follow in the Lava Hot Springs Cemetery.
