Ronald Maurice Jensen, 83, passed away on Tues. Feb. 4, 2014. He was born on February 22, 1930, in Pocatello, Idaho. He attended school at Bonneville Elementary, Franklin Junior High, and Pocatello High. In 1947 he joined the Naval Reserve, the Air Force in 1949, and did Basic Training in Texas. He was a Crash Fire Fighter in Lubbock, Texas. Ronald never married. He retired from Pacific Railroad in 1992, after working there for 41 years. He started as an Iceman, then Diversion Clerk and also a General Clerk. He was a member of the National Rifle Association. Ronald loved photography (landscapes) and airplanes. He is survived by four sisters, Maurine Evans, Walnut Creek, California, Ilafern Sindel, Discovery Bay, California, Thelma Pilotti, San Lorenzo, California, and Jackie Hunt, Fremont, California. He is preceded in death by his father, Sim Jensen, his mother, Esther Jensen, four brothers, Howard Jensen, Clement Jensen, Cyrus Kenneth Jensen, Wallace Lamar Jensen and four sisters, Genevieve Herd, Marjorie Ellingson, Venice Kinney, and Virginia Jensen. A viewing will be held on Tuesday, February 11, 2014, from 1-2 pm at Colonial Funeral Home 2005 S. 4th Ave. Pocatello 208-233-1500 with funeral services following starting at 2 pm.
