Ronald Louis Atkinson passed away and was reunited with the love of his life, Jane, on August 29, 2024.
He was born to Eugene and Blanche Atkinson in Pocatello, Idaho on April 1, 1947. Ron graduated from Highland High School and received a BS Degree in Pharmacy from Idaho State University. He married Jane Pincock on June 12, 1970 in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple.
Ron served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Peru. He also served in the Idaho National Guard. He was employed by the Union Pacific Railroad as a clerk and, after retirement, was a school bus driver for the Pocatello School District for a few years where he was able to work closely with Jane.

Ron was a gentle soul who was soft-spoken, humble, kind, patient, and thoughtful of others. He, along with Jane, dedicated his life to service. He was a loving husband, father, and grandpa who enjoyed gardening, canning, and cooking and loved to share his harvest with others.
Ron is survived by his children, Brian (Tracy) Atkinson of Boise, Idaho and Jeanette (Troy) Gunnell of Smithfield, Utah; his grandchildren, Chrisitan (Madisson) Atkinson, Connor (Janey) Atkinson, Mason (Morgan) Gunnell, Mikayla Gunnell, Lexi Gunnell, Jordan Atkinson, and Jaxson Gunnell….and Granddog, Jeffrey.
