Rodney Ellis Pahneeno

Rodney Ellis Pahneeno, 62, of Fort Hall, met his creator peacefully, on Sunday April 21, 2019, at Portneuf Medical Center, due to natural causes. Rodney was born September 13, 1956 to Dave Dare Pahneeno and Geraldine Antelope Pahneeno in Pocatello, Idaho. Rodney was a direct descendant from Mike Daggett also known as Shoshone-Mike known for the Last Massacre in Nevada in 1911. Rodney enjoyed traveling, riding his motorcycle and cruising his cars, gambling, and he had a great love for his dogs. He had a large and varied family in and around the Fort Hall Area. Rodney grew up in the Ross Fork district raised by Milo and Doris Burnette. As a young man, he and his 4 siblings were separated at a young age. After he turned 18 he joined the Military, while stationed at Fort Hood, Texas he met and married AnaBel King. He worked in Nampa as a butcher and was a Heavy Equipment Operator, in his later years he worked for The Stephen Performing Arts as a custodian, were he worked for many years. Rodneys greatest achievement is his Daughter, Christina Ann Pahneeno. Rodney will be remembered by his warm smile, he had a beautiful spirit. His compassionate heart, would always give the shirt off his own back to anyone .He always participated in a lot of community activities around Pocatello. Rodney is survived by his Daughter, Christina Pahneeno, and her two children Andreana Cotton and Jaleel Cotton; nieces, Bonita Latimer, Robin (Stone-LaVatta) Amboh, Joy Armajo, Babs Armajo; nephews, Ramsrun Armajo, also the Wahtomy, Quagigant, and Shay Families. He was preceded in death by his Parents Dave Dare Pahneeno and Geraldine Antelope-Pahneeno; maternal grandparents, Sam and Lucy Shay Antelope and paternal grandparents, Zay-Dah Tsah Rah David Pahneeno and Amashaw Douglas. He was also, preceded in death by his siblings Zachary Pahneeno, Varina Pahneeno Brower, Florene Pahneeno Armajo, Leland Pahneeno Brower; nieces, Deshanne LaVatta Jim and Tonya A Pahneeno Robbins; nephew, Travis Armajo, and grandchild, Honor Rae Alvaraz. Funeral services will be at Colonial Funeral Home in Pocatello, Idaho on Thursday, April 25, 2019 at noon. A viewing will begin at 10:00 am two hours prior to the services. His internment will follow at Sand Hill Cemetery in Fort Hall, Idaho. Condolences may be given online to the family. Click condolences.
