Rocco Joseph Chacon, SR. sadly passed away on November 23, 2010. He leaves behind a loving family which included his wife, four children, two grandchildren, a father, five brothers and their families, other extended family members, and friends.
Rocco loved to hunt with his two sons during the fall. He also liked to wood carve and enjoyed working outdoors. As a child, he was an excellent boxer and had a great passion for it. When he couldn't box anymore, he developed other interests. In his late teens, he went to job corp in Washington and learned how to finish concrete. He logged in Wyoming for a short time then went on to work in the oil fields in Texas. After the oil fields, Rocco came back to Pocatello to work with his mother, Irene, at the Hilton Inn then later as a cook. Rocco then met and married his wife, Carmen, and worked at the Riverside Inn in Blackfoot. He then worked at FMC for 11 years with his father, Joe, until its closure.
Rocco was preceded in death by his brother Quentin Chacon and later by his Mother, Irene Marie Chacon. Rocco, we love you very much and will miss you dearly until we can meet again.
As were his wishes, Rocco will be cremated and there will be a private ceremony held only with his immediate family. There will be a dinner at 5pm to 7pm November 27, 2010 at the Church of Jesus Christ 140 Bringhurst building, located off of Yellowstone in Chubbuck, for those who wish to join his family.
Please share your condolences, stories of Rocco, and photos with the Chacon family.
