Robert Walter Petersen

June 16, 1933 — May 23, 2010

Robert Walter Petersen (Bob, aka Pete), age 76, of Pocatello, passed away May 23 2010. He was born August 16, 1933, in Pocatello to Rasmus and Mary Evelyn Petersen.

Bob enjoyed fishing, hunting and camping in his younger days, served the Boy Scouts of America, Order of the Arrow, and was the proud father of an Eagle Scout. He was involved with his children's school PTA. His daughter and son fondly remember camping trips and fishing with dad.
He loved working with wood crafting small toys for children; donating many of these to local charity. His neighbors and friends loved him and were deeply touched by his passing. He had a contagious laugh that only encouraged you to laugh with him.

He is survived by his daughter Diane Schroeder, son Ronald Petersen; 4 grandchildren Aaris, Aaron, Arminda, and Aubrey; 3 great grandchildren Jolieona, Isaiah, Pierce and one more expected in January 2011; and his companion Bass (his beloved basset hound who went everywhere with him).
