Robert M. Likes

Robert Mack Likes, 79 passed away peacefully September 17, 2018 in Chubbuck, Idaho.

Robert was born in Idaho Falls, Idaho on August 4, 1939. He was raised in Idaho Falls and later lived in Blackfoot, Montpelier, Jerome and spent the last 37 years living in Chubbuck, Idaho with his family. Robert & Jean recently celebrated their 57 wedding anniversary, he married Jean on August 15, 1961.

Robert served in the military where he received an honorable discharge. He worked for and retired from Safeway Grocery Stores as a manager and then he became a sales rep for the Idaho Lottery. After he retired from the Idaho Lottery, he was known as the ‘Lottery Legend' for all the amazing things he accomplished while working for them.

Robert was a member of Jaycee's in Blackfoot and also the Rotary Club in Pocatello. He was an avid golfer, fisherman and hunter and shared those interests with his family. When there was a day off from work, it wasn't uncommon to find Robert and his family doing a fun activity. He loved playing games with his family, summer BBQs, and was always ready to do anything his family had in mind. Robert had a soft spot for animals and over the years supported his kids as they had hamsters, rabbits, cats, dogs and a pot belly pig who loved cookies.

Robert was a funny, honest and hardworking man who loved his wife and his sons very much. Robert is survived by his wife Jean Likes, and two sons, Robert W. Likes and Vince Likes.

Graveside services will be held at 11 A.M., Friday, September 21, 2018 in Blackfoot, Idaho at the Grove City Cemetery. Condolences and memories may be shared with the family at www.wilksfuneralhome.com
