Robert Lovell

November 28, 1952 — June 10, 2009

POCATELLO, ID—On June 10, 2009, our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend peacefully left us. In recent days Bob mentioned how he looked forward to seeing his parents, Edward L. & Arva R. Lovell, again.

He was born on his father's birthday, November 28, 1952. This was particularly fitting since Bob was the only boy in a family with 5 girls. His formative years were spent working with his father on their family farm in Blackfoot. After honorably completing a mission in the Minnesota-Manitoba Mission, Bob went to Ricks College. Through friends there he met his wife, they were married in the Idaho Falls Temple on June 13, 1975.

He later graduated from Idaho State University and became an avid basketball fan, holding season tickets for many years. Bob worked for AMI Semiconductor for 25 years. It was while working there he met his best friend and brother-he-never-had, Merrill Moon. He found joy in the pranks they pulled on each other, always trying to outdo the other. Bob was especially devoted to his family. His greatest joy was being a father. When he was blessed with grandchildren, they became the joy of his life. They miss their grandpa.

Bob's testimony of the Saviour and his beloved Joseph Smith were an anchor in his life, especially in facing his challenges of the last 10 years. We are forever grateful for the lessons we learned from this humble, loving, kind and generous man and for being a part of his life. How we will miss him.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents and brothers-in-law, Rick Thiriot and Richard Titus. He is survived by his loving wife, his daughters Cami Ellis (Josh) Pocatello; Angela Cole (Brett) Salem; and his son Kory Lovell, Salt Lake City, UT; his five sisters, Sue, Sallie (Allen), Kenna, Paula, Ann; and 11 Grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be June 13, 2009 at the North Stake Center LDS Chapel at Two O' Clock. The family will receive family and friends at a viewing Friday at Wilks Funeral Home, 211 W. Chubbuck Road, from six until eight p.m. Condolences may be sent to the family online at www.wilksfuneralhome.com.
