1942 - 2008

CHUBBUCK - Robert Crapo, 65, of Pocatello, Idaho passed away September 1, 2008 at a local care facility. Robert was born October 20, 1942 in Pocatello Idaho to Willis Crapo and Ora George. He leaves behind a loving wife Myrna, one son Michael (Jill), one daughter Deborah Call, and 5 wonderful grandchildren Stacie, Jason, Jeremy Call and Ben, Alex Crapo.

He was a friend to all. Well known as a special education teacher in the community. He loved the children he worked with and would work long and hard to give them the education they needed to prosper in life.

He loved dogs and they loved him. He would have dogs follow him home from school when he was in his youth. Later in life he trained Black Labrador Retrievers. During the time when he ran his dogs in Field Trials, he was considered to be one of the best trainers around. His reputation as a great dog trainer is known today, even years after he had to give it up due to failing health. To watch his dogs perform would amaze everybody.

Bob loved to hunt and fish, an avid outdoorsman. Many times he was the only one catching fish. His friends would be skunked. He could amaze people with his ability to know where the fish are, and what they will bite on. Bob loved the outdoors. He loved camping before a hunt. He loved being out in the mountains. Every chance he got, he would love to go out duck and goose hunting. There was nothing better than being out in the cold weather waiting for a flock of geese to come into the decoys.

To know Bob was to have your life enriched. There was not a single person whom he knew, that he did not enrich their lives. He loved to help people in any way he could, and would go out of his way if he could make someone happy.

He will sorely be missed by his family, and all his friends.
