Robert Green

Robert Alan Green, 77, passed away Friday, May 16, 2014 at the Pocatello Veterans Home. Bob was born July 10, 1936 in Twin Falls, Idaho, the son of Austin and Ida (Lake) Green. He went to school in St. Anthony before moving to Pocatello where he graduated from Pocatello High School. He had worked for the Highway department for the amount of 18 years. He was currently active in his church and has lived in the 6 th Ward since 1989. He served as a Home Teacher, as well as serving in the Young Men's Mutual program and had been a Ward Clerk for 4 years. Bob never married. Robert enjoyed the outdoors. He loved animals and thoroughly enjoyed taking his dog for walks. He is survived by his brother, Bailey Green and his wife of Lakewood, WA; a half-brother David Green, as well as seven step-sisters; several nieces and nephews. Graveside services for Bob will be held Thursday, May 22, 2014 at 1:00 P.M. in Restlawn Memorial Gardens, Section 1 West, with Military Honors provided by the Pocatello Veterans Honor Guard for Bob's service in the US Army from 1959 - 1961. There will be a visitation at Colonial Funeral Home, 2005 South 4 th Avenue from 12:00 - 1:00 P.M. prior to the graveside. Condolences may be made online to the family at www.colonial-funeralhome.com
