Rjay Spoon

Rjay was born in Portland, Oregon moving to Reno with his family at the age of 4. He attended Veteran's Memorial Elementary School, Vaughn Middle School and Wooster High School where he served as student body president, graduating in 2000. During high school he became active in the music and drama departments. He appeared as the lead in several high school productions. He went on to attend the University of Nevada studying Art and Film. He moved to Seattle where he worked and was active in Community Theater. Later, he moved to Los Angeles where he ultimately excelled as leasing manager in luxury properties in the Los Angeles financial district. Rjay was a gifted vocalist and pianist and touched many lives with his music and exuberant love of life and gift of laughter. He is survived by his mother, Trish Spoon, of Reno, Nevada, his father, David Spoon, sister, Marnie Lundstrom, brothers Adam Spoon and Jared Spoon all of Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas and brother Tyler Spoon of San Diego, California. Services will be held at the LDS church at 1095 Golconda Way, Reno NV 89509 on Saturday, January 5th, at 10:00am. Interment will be at the Mountain View Cemetery in Pocatello, Idaho.
