In Loving Memory of Rick

Ricky Leon Goddard, 58, passed away on March 31, 2025 in Meridian, Idaho. Rick was born on August 13, 1966.

Rick always believed that blood doesn’t make family—and he lived that truth every day. His life was a testament to the bonds he built, the love he shared, and the many hearts he touched along the way.

He is survived by his loving wife, Dana Goddard; his son, Alan Goddard; daughter, Justine Goddard; and stepdaughters, Chante, Savannah, and Dalyn Cabiles. He also leaves behind his beloved mother, Nilene Goddard; his twin sister, Vicky Rusconi; older brother, Darrell Goddard and Partner Sherrie Gordon; and his sister and brother-in-law, Theresa and Jack Slover.

Rick was a proud uncle to Johnny Slover and his partner Samantha Ann and their daughters Ava and Harper Ann,

Blake Slover and his wife Tess and their daughter Addie; Garrett Gouveia and his wife Yolanda; He was also a cherished uncle to his Niece, Marina Goddard and Nephew Matthew Goddard

Rick adored his 11 grandchildren: Angel, Luciano, Donny, Kathy, Aleigha, Gio, Olivia, Alanna, Kyler, Elenore, and the newest addition on the way, Ka’Leeah. He was so proud of them all and loved them deeply.

But Rick’s love didn’t stop with bloodlines. He opened his heart to many more, considering them true family. Among them are Mark and his beautiful daughters Breana, Katelyn, and Alexis; his nephew Devon; son-in-law Jesse Araujo; and close family friends Chris, Amy, Logan, Sammie, and Cody. He also held dear Lee and Norma Pettingill, and many others he called family without hesitation.

Rick had a heart bigger than most. He would give the shirt off his back without question and was always there when someone needed him. His love was unconditional, his loyalty unwavering, and his presence unforgettable.

He will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his legacy of love, generosity, and family—chosen and born—will live on forever.

There will be no services held at this time.
