Richard Gary Snider,(April 26, 1948-November 18, 2024) resident of Chubbuck Idaho passed away at his home. He is survived by his wife, Cynthia Snider, seven children, Roberta Resner, Regina Nelms, Richard Snider, Angela Schneider,Tony Simerlink, Vince Simerlink, and Jennifer Vasquez, sixteen grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren, sister, Judy Snider and brother, John Snider.
Gary and Cynthia were married on Valentine’s Day eighteen years ago in Hawaii.
Gary grew up in Sundance, Wyoming, (where the “kid” got his name). He enjoyed playing horseshoes and bowling. He won first place multiple times and numerous trophies in both. He also enjoyed playing bingo, poker, and Skipbo. He also was one of the best toy crane operators in the world. Bringing home stuffed animals and trinkets and many of the prizes were donated to charity.
Gary was a member of the Moose Lodge and the Eagle’s Lodge in Gillette, Wyoming.
He loved traveling the world and when he was abroad in Europe, he would take pictures in front of iconic statues, structures, and buildings. He sat in front of the Rodin statue and he mimicked”The Thinking Man” and many other tourists around began copying this same pose in front of the famous, “Thinking Man” statue.
Gary was a plumber in Gillette, Wyoming for over forty years and he had been retired since 2016. In 2016, Gary and Cynthia moved to Chubbuck, Idaho.
Gary was a man of few words, but when he had something to say,; you knew he had something important to tell you.
There will not be a funeral service. Family will gather together to share Gary’s life and memories with a celebration of life event.
