Richard S Batterton (Rick) 57 passed away on Sat. July 18, 2015 after a valiant battle with a rare cancer with family and friends by his side.

They truly loved and adored each other and we're married March 8, 1990. Together they had much wanted son, Scott Robert Batterton. He completed their little family.
The family moved several times; from Pocatello to Spokane, WA. then to San Diego then back to Pocatello. Richard had his Master's degree business admin. as well as a degree as a Physician Assistant. He worked with Dr. Linda Babbitt before moving to Portneuf Medical Center to work in behavioral health. Richard started his career of serving others in San Diego as a police officer.
Richard was very active and enjoyed many things in life. He had a passion for learning and took advantage of every opportunity to gain knowledge and share it with others. He was a professional magician and was also very talented on the guitar and bagpipes. Richard would volunteer his time and teach bagpipes to the HHS band. He was a member of the Cameron Highlanders Pipe Band, a member of MENSA, the exclusive Magic Castle, and a life time member of Safari club international, and had his black belt Karate and Judo.
Richard loved the outdoors; fishing, hunting, camping, riding his can-am, and everything nature had to offer. He also loved talking to people about bagpipe music, but most of all, Richard loved his family. He loved his sweet wife Gayle and spoiled her rotten and loved his son Scott dearly. They were best friends
To truly write about what Rick accomplished in this life would take a book. What most would accomplish in 150 years, Richard did in his 57 years.
