Richard Lynn Bell

Richard Lynn Bell returned to his Heavenly Father on June 11, 2019. The viewing will be held Tuesday, June 18th from 7-8pm at the Wilks Funeral home. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 19th. Viewing 10-10:30am, services 11am at the North Pocatello Stake Center.

Richard was born May 16, 1944 in Lava Hot Springs Idaho to Earl and Vesta Bell. He was the youngest of thirteen children. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, motorcycling and being in the outdoors. He was a life guard at the State Pool in Lava.

In High School he joined the "Vesters" singing group and was also a member of the boxing team. He graduated from Marsh Valley High in 1962. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War from 1965-1967. He was stationed in Germany where he served as a medical evacuation coordinator.

He returned to Idaho and moved to Pocatello where he found his eternal sweetheart Sharon Beck. They were sealed in the Idaho Falls Temple on May 15, 1971. They were blessed with four children. The family enjoyed spending time in Island Park camping, snowmobiling, and kayaking.

He worked at FMC for 36 years. He was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served in many capacities including: I.F.Temple worker, women's prison, bishop's storehouse, and a full time mission in the Manila Philippines
Temple. His sense of humor and golden heart were unmatched.

He is survived by: his wife Sharon; children, Jeff Bell (Norma), David Bell (Crystal), Jennifer Young (Scott), Angela Hubbard (Andrew); 15 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; brother, Fred Bell (Rea); and sister, Judy Scott.
