Richard Boyd Porter

Richard Porter, a life-long resident of Pocatello, ID, passed away unexpectedly on November 30, 2021, at the age of 49.

Richard is survived by his wife, Shelley Porter (Wilding); his children, Shayle Porter, Chloe Wilding, Tierza (Court) Dschaak, Richie (Kyli) Turnbeaugh, and Zandra Turnbeugh; his siblings, Kathy (Bob) Jensen, Tony Porter; his nieces and nephews, Zach (Alecia) Jensen, Amber (Joe) Crump, Randi Porter, and Rachel Porter, and many grandkids. He is predeceased by his brother, Shane Porter; his mother, Brenda Porter; and his father, Richard Porter.

Richard was born in Pocatello on March 23, 1972, to Richard and Brenda Porter. He received his GED from ISU and worked in a variety of industries throughout his life, including his most recent career with precision glass and overhead door.

During his lifespan, Richard respectively welcomed four daughters, one son, and his beautiful wife, who were the most important part of his life. He was a loving father and husband. He often spent time camping at the Scout Mountain and Rock Creek East Fork campgrounds where he enjoyed fishing and outdoor leisure. He was a strong-willed man and was well respected by his peers for his gifts and abilities. He will be deeply missed by his friends, family, and all who knew him.
