Rey Reyes, 66, of Collierville, TN was welcomed into the arms of his loving Heavenly Father on January 23, 2018. He was born in Salt Lake City, UT on July 16, 1951 to Rex Albert and Amelia Esparza Kelson. He graduated from Marsh Valley High School in McCammon, Idaho, and continued his studies at Idaho State Technical College where his focus was computer science. Rey also served in the U.S. Air Force from 1971 to 1981, during his enlistment he was deployed to Vietnam where during the war he acted as a Communications Specialist and was awarded several medals and commendations. He was a lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. His pride and joy was his family. Rey is survived by his devoted wife, Tanya Reyes; sons, Oleg Reyes, and Russ Reyes; honorary daughter, Holly Ford; sister, Gloria Orton; nieces, Jenny Wilson (James), Rose Simkins (Brandon); nephew, Rex David Gill; and brother, David Reyes (Helen). He was preceded in death by his mother; father; niece, Rosaline Gill; and brother-in-law, Ray Orton. Family will receive friends at 10 am on January 26, 2018, with funeral services to follow at the LDS Church located at 580 Collierville-Arlington Rd, Collierville, TN. A second viewing will be held at the LDS Church on Monday, January 29, 2018 at 12 pm, located at Lava W. Dr., Lava Hot Springs, ID 83246, with burial to follow in the Lava Hot Springs Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in his name to the Street Dog Foundation of Memphis at PO Box 485, Memphis, TN, 38103.
