Renee Gwendolyn Anderson

Renee Gwendolyn Anderson, 86, passed away Wednesday, February 10, 2016 in Pocatello. She was a beloved sister, wife, mother, and grandmother. Renee was born March 28, 1929 to Ernest Davis and Gwen Larson Davis in Pocatello. She was the oldest of 4 children. On June 28, 1947, Renee married her sweetheart, Dwaine Walter Anderson in the Idaho Falls Temple. They were blessed with eight children: Connie Denise (Glenn) Holcomb, Craig Anderson, Renell (Ken) Kendall, Clifford Harry (Jeri) Anderson, Gwen (Reid) Dudley, Thain Wyatt (Jill) Anderson, Todd Dwaine (Deborah) Anderson, and Noel Davis (Rodona) Anderson. As a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Renee served in many callings. She especially enjoyed serving in the Primary. From 1988-1989, Renee and Dwaine served a full-time mission to the Canada, Toronto Mission. She was also involved in the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers (DUP) for many years. Renee was an avid reader of all literature. Often times Renee performed drama narrations for numerous organizations. Her other interests include taking long walks, studying history, and traveling to various parts of the world like San Carlos, Mexico. Renee is preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Craig; and daughter, Connie. She is survived by sister, Shirley Kunert of Pocatello; sister, Janet Mitchell of Eagle; and brother, Brent Davis (Gigi) of Eagle; 6 children, 29 grandchildren, and 26 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 20, 2016, at the LDS Highland 2 nd Ward, 2925 Michelle St. Pocatello, Idaho 83201. A visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, February 19, 2016 at Colonial Funeral Home, 2005 S. 4th Ave. Pocatello, Idaho 83201 as well as one hour prior to the funeral service at the church. Burial will follow the funeral services at Mountain View Cemetery, 1520 S. 5th Ave. Pocatello, Idaho 83204.
