Rena Angela Croft, 80, passed away at home Thursday, October 9, 2008, surrounded by her children following a courageous battle with cancer. She was born August 23, 1928 the daughter of Raymond Hugh Sr. and Alice E. (Wheelock) Vezina in Auburn, Wyoming. As a child, she moved around with her father who worked construction. She lived in Leadore, St. Anthony, Phillipsburg, Montana, and Island Park, but most of her life in Pocatello. Rena married A. Carl Croft August, 7, 1948 in Idaho Falls, ID. They were married 60 years. Carl passed away February 10, 2008. Together they were blessed with five children; Donna, Carl Jr., Lesli, Carol, and Harvey who were all raised in Pocatello. Carl met Rena Vezina when she was working as a car hop at a local drive-in. She worked in food services at various businesses in Pocatello. The focus of her life was her family. She enjoyed camping, traveling, and reading and playing cards with her friends. Rena was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She is survived by her children, Donna Poole, Mesa, AZ, Lesli Christofferson, Idaho Falls, ID, Carol (Steve) Ore, Vancouver, WA, and Harvey (Ronda) Croft, Pocatello; 18 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; a sister, Marquetta (Jim Smith) Vezina and a brother, Raymond (Sandy) Vezina. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Croft, a son, Carl Croft Jr., parents, Raymond and Alice Vezina, a sister, Aloha Clark, and a brother, Robert Vezina. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 14, 2008, at Colonial Funeral Home, 2005 S. Fourth Ave, Pocatello. Inurnment will follow the services at Mountain View Cemetery.
