Rebecca Ruth Brown, 74, peacefully passed away on June 21, 2024, at Elegant Assisted Living in Pocatello, Idaho.
She was born on August 9, 1949, to James Robert Hogan Rowe and Imagene Westlake Rowe in Pittsfield, Illinois.
After graduating from high school, Rebecca came to Pocatello to stay with family and attend Idaho State University. During her time studying business and geology, she met a handsome young man, Bruce Brown. They were later married.
Rebecca was a dynamite woman. Being a minister’s wife, she was always serving and helping behind the scenes. While her daughter, Robin, was in High School, Rebecca was a willing volunteer chaperone to all the Highland Band trips, competitions, and events.
In her free time, Rebecca was very creative: crochet, needlework, quilting, and tole painting. Her talent was shared with many friends and family. She also loved to travel, Yellowstone being one of her favorite places. Animals, any size and shape, held a sweet spot in Rebecca’s heart.
Rebecca is preceded in death by her sweetheart, Bruce, and her parents James and Imagene Rowe.
She is survived by her daughter Robin (Dawn) Landsverk.
A memorial service will be held for both Rebecca and Bruce on Monday, July 1, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at the Church of Christ (3224 Hawthorne Road, Pocatello, ID 83202). Rebecca’s wishes were to have her cremated remains scattered, which was overseen by her daughter, Robin.
