Randy James Chandler

Randy James Chandler, 48, passed away on January 28, 2025.

He was born in Pocatello, Idaho, to Audrey Capell Chandler on July 13, 1976. He was raised in Pocatello, and at the age of 12, moved to Inkom where he met lifelong friends. He began his love of baseball at Marsh Valley, playing and watching. He loved all sports, but baseball was his favorite, especially the Yankees.

He married Sarah Brother and later divorced. They had a son, Nolan Reed Chandler, age 8. Nolan was the love of his life.

As an adult, he lived in many places: Pocatello, New York, Waterbury, CT, Portland, Seattle, Eugene, Boise, and Inkom. He loved living in New York because of his Yankees. No matter where he traveled, Inkom was home. He never forgot his family and friends.

He was very close to his grandparents, Reed and Nola Capell. He always missed them after he moved away and after their passing. He was the first grandchild and nephew, and he was spoiled by all.

Randy is survived by his mother, Audrey Chandler of Inkom, Idaho; son, Nolan Chandler of Boise, Idaho; sister, Shaunna Wilson of Pocatello, Idaho; aunt and second mothers, Janice Briscoe of Pocatello, Idaho, and Brenda Capell of Pingree, Idaho, and Anna Capell of Robin, Idaho.

He is preceded in death by his father, James Chandler; grandparents, Reed and Nola Capell and Orsen and Margaret Chandler; and uncle, Brian Capell.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, February 3, 2025 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 801 N Rapid Creek Road, Inkom, ID.  A viewing will be held from 5:00 - 7:00 pm on Sunday, February 1, 2025 at Wilks Funeral Home, 211 W Chubbuck Road, Chubbuck, ID.  Burial will follow at the Robin Cemetery, 2920 W. Arimo Road, Arimo, ID.
