Rae B. Hirschi passed away quietly on April 5, 2014 at her home in Pocatello, Idaho from an extended illness. She was born Rayola Scarborough in 1930 to Alice and Grover Cleveland Scarborough in Basalt, Idaho. She was 83 at the time of passing.
She later met Robert W. Brown, and the two were married on October 13th, 1946 in Basalt, Idaho. Together, they had two children, Susan Rae Brown (Sue) and Robert W. Brown Jr. (Bobby). Sue is now Susan Pletcher and lives with her husband John in Meridian, Idaho. Robert Jr. is also married and lives with his wife Lanea in Salt Lake City, Utah.
After her husband's death in 1977, she met Harlo L. Hirschi. They were married on March 7th, 1980, and lived happily in Pocatello until her passing. Harlo is a Veteran, and together they enjoyed camping, fishing, and visiting family and friends.
Rae is the last of her siblings to pass, and was also preceded in passing by a daughter. She greatly loved her grandchildren, Sean and Chris Pletcher, and Bobby and Kyle Brown.
Rae lived a full life. She also loved knitting and crocheting, her word search puzzles, her home, and most of all, her pups. Her final internment will be in Gibbonsville, Idaho where her brother Walt is. She was loved greatly, and will be dearly missed.
In lieu of flowers, the family would greatly appreciate any donations to the Pocatello Animal Shelter.
