Priscilla Malmquist

October 1, 1939 — November 8, 2021

Priscilla (Pat) J Malmquist, born October 1st, 1939 was welcomed into heaven on Monday, November 8th, 2021.

She spent her early years in Worcester, MA with parents Edward (Russ) Russel Pollinger and Gertrude McCullen Pollinger. As a child, she was not lost for company, and built wonderful memories with her many siblings. They had a large and loving family.

She was an extremely hard worker; a very strong and independent woman who started working at Grand Central, which later became known as Fred Meyer. She worked for Fred Meyer, traveling and moving to multiple states to assist with store grand openings, and after an accomplished 30+ years of service, she retired.

Pat had a passion for family. Always a devoted mother, she was a scout leader for her children through their childhood and a guiding force for their generations of children that followed. She loved camping, and hosted the Malmquist family camp for many years. She made a huge effort to include family and friends that became family. Everyone looked forward to the grand finale, Pat's infamous spaghetti dinner.

You could easily find her sitting at her kitchen table enjoying coffee and chatting with a visitor. If it got too late, that coffee turned into boxed wine and lots of laughter. Her hobbies included baking and crafting, and we looked forward to her box of Christmas goodies. She also loved a good treasure hunt, and would spend hours looking for a collectable or bargain that someone else had given away. Pat was not a stranger to tradition, and she included everyone - always a thought-out ornament on the annual Thanksgiving tree for each person.

She was welcomed in heaven by her only and beloved daughter Lisa Marlene Malmquist, her granddaughter Brandy Lynette Zarogoza, and her grandson Scottie Hill. She is survived by her children Micheal (Rachael) Malmquist and William "Bill" Malmquist; her grandchildren Amy Alvarado, Sheena Armas, Tasha Hill, Kelly Hill, Amanda Scott, Mark Malmquist, Joshua Hill, Mavis Hill, her many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

When ending a conversation on the phone or in person, she never said goodbye, but instead said goodnight...to you Pat, we say goodnight sister, goodnight mom, goodnight grandma, goodnight friend - give a kiss and hug to those we can no longer hold, and we will see you again soon.

Memories and condolences may be shared with the family under the "Share a memory" section above.
