CHUBBUCK " Prince “Steven” Taryole, 54 passed away Tuesday August 10, 2010 due to complications of diabetes at Portneuf Medical Center
Steve was born December 8, 1955 in Lawton, OK. He grew up in Oklahoma, California, and Utah. He graduated in 1974 from Henryetta High School in Henryetta, OK. He then attended Oklahoma University. Steve then attended the University of Utah where he received his Bachelor and Master Degrees in Social Work. He went on to work for the Boys and Girls Club of Salt Lake City, UT. He moved on to be the Alcohol and Drug Program Director in Utah, Washington and Idaho where he was highly respected in his field. His mission in life was helping others.
Steve met the love of his life, Diane, 34 years ago. They were married on December 8, 1977 in Richfield, UT. They were happily married for 32 years, having been blessed with three sons and a daughter.
Steve was an advocate and supporter of Native American clubs and organizations. He enjoyed teaching and doing presentations on Native American culture. He was a smart guy with a great sense of humor, who loved to have fun. He enjoyed all outdoor activities and sports. He was a huge basketball and football fan of University of Utah and Oklahoma University. He also enjoyed movies and going on drives. Most of all he loved being with his family.
He is survived by his loving wife Diane, his three sons Steve W. and his wife Kati, Josh, Louie, and his daughter Maddie. Other survivors include his sister Norma, brother Wayne his wife Toni, sister Joann and her husband Bill as well as nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his father Marchie, mother Betsy and three older brothers Winford, Sanford, and Junior, nephew Christian, and two nieces Tonya and Tracy.
