Phyllis May McIntier Archibald, 89, passed away peacefully Wednesday, June 9, 2010 at the Whispering Pines Assisted Living Center in Chubbuck, Idaho. She was born April 25, 1921 the fourth child of Amos Nathaniel and Etta (Morgan) McIntier in Salt Lake City, Utah. Phyllis graduated from Pocatello High School in 1940 and then attended Idaho State University where she studied dress design and pattern drafting. She made and packed parachutes for Hill Air Force Base during WWII. She married Warren Archibald. Warren passed away March 10, 1958. She later married Leonard Seelos. Phyllis was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She took out her endowments in the Ogden Temple in August 1988. She enjoyed ceramics and making porcelain dolls. She worked for many years at Lamb Weston and later Idaho State University. She was a 50 year member of Women of the Moose. She is survived by her children, daughters Linda (Don) Higley-Utah, Cheryl Shappart-Idaho, and son Leslie (Cindy) Archibald-Wisconson, 5 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and 4 great. great grandchildren. She was preceeded in death by a sister, Edith (Don) Spiker and a brother, Morgan Bud (Beth) McIntier. She was preceded in death by both husbands, parents, an infant sister, Deloris. Services for Phyllis will take place on Monday, June 14, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at Colonial Funeral Home, 2005 South 4th Avenue, with a visitation being held one hour prior to the services only. Burial will follow at Restlawn Memorial Gardens. Condolences may be sent to the family online at www.Colonial-FuneralHome.com. Phyllis, Grandma "Bald" is dearly loved, and will be greatly missed.
